Screw It!

Had the screws holding the hinges of a kitchen cabinet door pull out. Over the years have tried jamming toothpicks or matchsticks in the screw hole, but they've never really worked. Found this after an online search:

Basically thin strips of metal that are like cheese graters. Cut to fit in the hole and reinsert the screw
Worked great and can't believe I've never heard of them before. BTW, no financial interest. Just thought someone else might be looking for an easy solution to a common problem.

My father taught me another way to solve the problem. He would take small strips of wood and insert them into the hole, and then replace the screw.

Anyone try these for cylinder head studs?
