WHEW!!

Lewis!!

WOTTA RACE!!! I've always loved that track (esp. the old one!!). Mass and Heidfelt did awright too!! Lewis was masterful though!!!!

And kinda *lucky* too... that last lap coulda taken 'em BOTH out.

There was a lot of "luck" in play throughout that race!!! :eeek: How 'bout Kimi's luck???

He got blinded... red hazed.

Wonder if he'll be in a Ferrutzi NEXT season...

hmmm... well, "silly season" bein' what it is, my WAG would be Alonso.

...don't laugh. It could happen.

AARRGGHH!!!!

FIA handed Hamilton a 25 second penalty for contact with Kimi. Click here for the fun details. I thought that both drivers were "racing" and Hamilton did what he was supposed to do after the contact. Hopefully McLaren will win the appeal.

Heard rumors that F1 is returning to the states in 2010. I wonder where, though. I thought that Tony George pretty much burned his bridge with F1 last year...

Saw that earlier. They were BOTH goin' at one-another. Ham finished... let it GO.

As for a return to the US, well... when it happens I'll believe it.

Tho' SEBRING would be my biggest wish.

I rolled my eyes too when they first stated that it was coming back, but they said that both Honda and BMW are really pushing for the return since the US is their largest market. We'll see...

Sebring would definitely get my vote...especially if it gets a little wet...

Sebring in th' fall would be HURRICANE weather... mebbe that would make it a non-venue?!?

...I sure hope not.

Envious, we get only Nascar/Arca type racing here in Hawaii on the tube. Unless you spend beaucoup big bucks for satellite Speedvision package..

Don't give up hope for Lewis' win yet, BMW are appealing, and on review, he DID follow the rules as written!!!!... he cut the corner, gained an advantage, relinquished the advantage (he CLEARLY slowed and dropped in , and THEN re-passed Kimi!!

It was even a "talking point"!! Hobbs was all over it as "The Rules" when it happen'd. Lewis backed down and then re-passed the red carrot.

I guess it was so obvious that other manufacturers are appealing...

Wow, just read great race.

Mclaren cannot get a break.

I thought it was legit according to the rule, he let kimi back into first.

I agree about Alonso and I'll believe another US Grand Prix, when they run on Michelins again.

If F-1 really is coming back, I hope Tony George doesn't have anything to do with it. He's done more damage to open wheel racing than anyone in recent memory.IMHO

I watched the whole race, and Hamilton did gain an advantage by cutting the chicane, of course, he was forced off...had no choice. However, he knew it and immediately relinquised his position. If McLaren doesn't win this appeal, there is something seriously wrong with the people running F1.

Perhaps McLaren should start painting their cars red. It seems that all the decisions affecting the outcome of races go to the red cars. :wall:
