Looking for a inexpensive scanner/printer/copier that uses inexpensive ink, has decent quality printing and is easy to use.

Any such thing?

E-Bay or local flea market.

Use a digital camera (or phone) for "scanning".

Print with a cheap printer such as Lexmart Z611 ($35 at Walmart)

Kodak has the cheapest ink

Isn't that the truth! Both my printers are HP, highest price ink around! Never buy another one. PJ

Sigh.

There was a time when HP meant high performance, high precision or heck of a product.

That was before they got into the pc business, before there even was any such thing as the pc business.

In those days it was a point of pride to have many years' worth of HP catalogs on your shelf and the latest piece of HP gear on your bench.

But, as the pc monster grew beyond anybody's wildest dreams, HP's business units split and the cash cow child took the family name. :(

The parent took a new name, Agilent Technologies.

Now, it's happened again. Another HP child is taking the Agilent name and leaving the parent who started it all to invent yet another new one.

I'm sure old HP fans would prefer they call it something like "The REAL HP." Or maybe just HP, since the current HP's relevancy seems to be fading quickly and may just evaporate altogether.

But they've chosen to call it Keysight Technologies.

Have you looked into LexMark prices lately :greedy_dollars:

The best lap top I ever owned was a HP! That was 10 years ago and it never gave me any problems, battery life was super, processor was fast for the time, keyboard was easy to look at, silver with black lettering, plus other nice features. I gave it to a friend who lost everything when Sandy destroyed the N.J. coast. He still uses it today. In the interim, I bought a Toshiba, biggest piece of junk I've ever owned. So go figure, models change daily and so does the quality. Not much we can do about it, just spend your hard earned cash and hope. :encouragement: PJ

That's funny Paul, I've had the exact opposite experience. Biggest pos I've ever owned was an HP, and my Toshiba I now have has been going strong for four years.

Yes Walter, The crazy world of electronics! I heard before that Toshiba had a good computer, reason I bought one, but who really knows which model is the best one and which is the worst. My desk top is an HP with a 22 inch screen. It is still going strong, but I like the lap top for convenience. My son just bought an IVO lap top and loves it for the business. Never saw a computer that thin! Nice. Oh well, nuf said. PJ
