I looked on a big map of the US, drew a line through those snow storms...came out in Charleston, SC!

September is a bit early for snow here in the mountains, but not by much. October snow is pretty normal, as is fresh snow in May.
 
Been in Red Lodge in September and ran into snow going up Bear Tooth mountain on our way to Yellowstone. Never made it across the top as the Rangers turned us around! I was in a 4 wheel drive and had to come back down, then went about 70 miles out of the way to continue the trip. Yup, it does snow up there in September! PJ
