I must say my biggest takeaway from the first pic is why would anyone bother with a Porsche or Mercedes or Lexus SUV when it looks like a Hyundai or a Kia?

If you review all the pics of the various decades of cars that look the same you discover that the decades not represented are the 50s & 60s - followed (ish) but the 40s and 30s - ergo not surprising that the cars we mostly gravitate around (50's/ 60's) represent the pinnacle of unique design. (and sometimes outrageous design)

We have a black Subaru Outback. Here in New England, trying to find it in a parking lot in a sea of black SUVs is almost impossible. Sometimes if it weren't for the horn and lights going on when I press the key fob I'd be wandering around for hours.

Gotta customize / personalize newer vehicles so they could be found. A Thule roof rack is installed on mine; now it could be found in any parking lot.
