...tonight.

Last time I saw them was their farewell tour in 1982 at Shea. I'll tell ya, for old rockers these guys really put on a great show. I was impressed.

We saw the Doobie Bro's last eve. Same conclusion. Most entertaining.

Yup, saw the Who back in the early 80's myself on their farewell tour. Can't help but wonder when will they actually say goodbye for the last time? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Yeah, I saw them at The Meadowlands around the same time.

In my humble opinion, they are the world's greatest rock and roll band.

As soon as I saw Cliff's "scooter" post, I played my Quadophenia" album! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Ahh first time I saw them I was not quite 16, was my mother's (YIKES) birthday. Played with Joe Cocker. Led Zep was on the bill too, but they were a 'no show' so the Who played an exceptionally long time! Were back a few months later doing 'Tommy' but I didn't go to that one. Then saw them again in '82 and once again - and the last time - at Busch Stadium in '89. I 'rearranged' our family vacation to be sure to make the concert.

I'm having concert withdrawals. Last one was Bob Seger. Next one is Billy Joel and the Beatles tribute band 1964.

My friends Uncle Bob got him a ticket and he is not that big a fan. I get a call yesterday afternoon that UB had a bad piece of Monk Fish that night before and could not get off the bowl. He calls me up and of course I'll take a free ticket. Floor seats - 19th row center stage. These tickets were about $300 beans each. I love UB. He taken us to Yes a few times and a few other shows.

Saw them 3 times in the 70's; twice with Moon and once with Kenny Jones.

75 tour for me,4th row center,my ears still hurt and Quad is my favorite Who album, though its a smidge ahead of only "Live at Leeds",which is the best live album of all time!

The Who was the first big concert I saw, was 16 at the time, Dec 6, 73 at the Capital Centre in Maryland. The Capital Centre had just opened (it was torn down in 2002)and the festival seating ticket cost $6.50 (I keep all my old tickets). Wow .. what a show! PT sliding across the stage on his knees while playing his guitar .. the windmill chops .. RD's amazing singing .. KM's manic drumming .. just unbelievable. Saw them again at the same venue on Aug 3, 76 ($8.75! inflation!) Quad .. Tommy .. all the good stuff.

A few months ago I saw them at Hollywood Bowl.. (friend had an extra ticket so don't know what they cost) Daltrey is in great shape and sounded really solid. Townshend played great although his stage antics were toned down (obviously his knees said 'We're not gonna take it') /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I'm jealous of all of you! I had to pass on going to see them in Atlanta this past September. If they get back out again, I don't care what we have to do to go.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who believes The Who is The World's Greatest Rock 'N Roll Band.

Cancelled here earlier in the week, Roger could only croak to the tunes... Place was JAMMED, too.

Yeah I heard. It was the next show after mine. Went on stage for 15 minutes and then left. Pete came out and said sorry blokes show canceled. That's gotta suck.

hay the guys only human, id like to know who among his disappointed fans have never gotten sick, who are you? id really like to know! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Agreed!

But I'm predjudiced......I was born in Leeds.

Heck, the first concert I went to was The Brothers Four way back in the early '60's & then there was Dennis Yost & the Classics Four...hmmm, wonder why everything was in 4's?

I've seen them...and the Stones....as well as Steppenwolf.

I got to help chauffer Fleetwood Mac in 2003. (I drove a passenger van with the back-up singers and tour manager...each of the band members had their on limo.)
