There's a defunct website that's available on Archive.org.

Is there an app which can save that archived site (pages, pictures, links, etc.) to my hard drive? (I've found many that should do that - but they don't.) Wondered if anyone here has actually used one that worked.

Thanks.

Never used this archive but it states;

No, not all files are downloadable.
There are access restricted items such as books in the lending program and some other collections, as well as some file formats in items to allow other files to be downloaded.
If an item is downloadable, there will a DOWNLOAD OPTIONS box on the right of the page that looks similar to this example.

If you have Google Chrome;
With Google Chrome, just go to the website, hit Command+S, choose the location where you want it saved, and boom it's all there. An html file and a folder of all the supporting files and page links (css, js, all kinds of images and videos etc

Thanks for the suggestion. I use Google Chrome - but CTRL-S just saves the page I'm on, not the whole site.

(I'm on Windows - when you say Command+S, I assume you mean Control+S)

2nd try ;-)

Tried HTTrack, but it only saves the main (home) page. None of the nested pages. Click on a homepage link to see a nested page, and it just goes to the online page, not a saved page.

What app have you used?

HTTrack should have the option for full download.

Form my own use I only copy parts of the code.
