I anticipate attending this event...with my still somewhat bent MGA. I will be happy to hook up with any BCF members..

By the way.. we have a great 50 year old MG club in San Diego... If you are not already a member, go to San Diego MG Club for more information....

Simon,

You haven't finished your A YET!!???! :smirk:

Please meet up with me.... Remember, mine will be the bent, black '57 MGA....

Simon,

Really... I am going to come by and look at your project... seriously, no -- really.... :smirk:

Email me... How about tomorrow?? I need to drive my A around a bit and what better purpose than to come by and see yours...

Crud! I'm taking my B to the shop on monday but even if I wasn't I wouldn't be back until late Saturday anyway.

I feel bad too as I've missed the last couple of years.

Wonder if anybodied get upset if I crashed the event in my 928? :smirk:

Bret,

Sorry you won't make it with the B.... No worries, however, I have crashed several events in the E320 when my A and B wheren't co-operating....

Rays,

There is a usual turnout of maybe thirty cars, give or take...MGs, Triumphs, Healeys, the ubiquitous Minis, et al. It is always great fun and the picnic afterwards always offers a great time to show and tell and to meet fellow LBC affectionatos...

This year's route ends up at Balboa Park's Car Museum rather than the out of the way spots of the last two years...So, innocent spectators will abound.

They usually offer two routes... one shorter for the faint of heart and a longer one for those who have the confidence that their cars can take it... :driving:

Hope you can make it.

It seems to me that for the last few years it’s been well over a hundred cars each time.

This year they had two routes, almost exactly the same but in a few places they split us up so we could double back on each other and see lots of other cars instead of just the ones immediately in front and behind you.

So what if an Italian car sneaks in here or there, it’s all good.

PC,

Great set of pics!!!

Actually, I missed last year... It seems the memory gets foggy when it has so many years to remember!!

2006 was a meager turnout as I recall... And I do stand corrected on the number of cars that show up. Sorry 'bout that.
