It is indeed a sad day as we mark the passing of the former owner of TVR Engineering Ltd, Peter Wheeler, who died last night in England at the age of 64 after a brief illness.
Wheeler, who owned TVR from 1980 to 2004, was at the helm of the company in the years which saw such dynamic TVR models as the 390SE, 420 and 450 SEAC, the Chimaera, Griffith, and then the Cerbera, Tuscan, Tamora and Sagaris, all of which featured TVR's own in house powerplants.
Wheeler's death comes just over a year after the death of TVR founder Trevor Wilkinson.
Rest in Peace, Peter.
