I heard a while back that Saab 9000 wheels will fit a tr3 and was wondering if anyone has tried that. Steve

I have some, but haven't decided if they are going to work yet. Everything except the offset is good. They're even narrow enough. Unfortunately the front wheel drive geometry makes the wheel centerline about 30mm off. So far I've guessd it's going to take about 17mm to clear things on the front. I think that is a bit much for a spacer so I set them aside incase a good idea comes along. (They are nice looking 8 spoke minilites BTW)

I once picked up a set at a wrecker and found that the bolt pattern was out just enough that the wheel wouldn't mount on the four bolts but maybe it's the old Saab 99 wheels that fit?

The Saab 900 Minilite copies are 4x4.5 bolt pattern, so it's the right BP, MGBs guys lik to use these, in fact I bought a MGB GT race car roller recnetly and it has thse wheels mounted on it, so if MGB use them the offset for the TRs will be too much postive offset, for example the 15x6 VTO wheels use a +24mm offset (4.5' of backspacing) for the MGBs and +3mm (3.58" of backspacing) for the big TRs.
