Hey folks.. Does anybody have one of these? how does it drive? Are there any around for purchase? I understand that they are recently out of production from JTR Competition.., and now the closest thing is an Iskenderian regrind Z19..

We just put a nice set of Delorto's on the Mk1, and it cries out for some more go fast goodies..

As far as I know, the S-2 camshaft was unavailable from JRT (Jaguar Rover Triumph) since 1980. I put up the info about the Iskenderian Z19 from a letter sent me by the mgr of JRT's Competition Dept East in the BDF wiki:

https://www.britishcarforum.com/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=GT6#_Competition_camshafts

Isky's web page shows the Z19 still available, but doesn't have any specs on it. I'd love to see them.

It's worth pointing out that the S-2 was ground from cam blanks, & the Z19 is a regrind of an existing cam. So it's possible that you can't regrind a cam to duplicate the S-2, but just come close.

All that aside, Michael Barratt at the JRT Competition Dept. said the Z19 spec is "a specification which is very close to the S2".

Have you checked with the folks at British Frame and Engine? Or Engel Cams? They seem to have a substantial amount of knowledge on cams for these applications.
