Runs on 3 cylinders at idle, but all 4 at higher rpms???

Excellent! I'm glad you found the problem and thanks for posting what you found wrong.

Thanks, Doug! I suppose the damaged gasket was my fault for trying to reuse an old one. :grumpy:

But see my other post to Kurt from this morning

Dan.

My suspicion is that when you fixed the air leak, the mixture and idle adjustments you made previously were no longer correct. However, this is only a guess. I know absolutely nothing about Webers so I cannot begin to make suggestions on what to try next but I would not hesitate to at least adjust the idle speed to see if a few turns of the screw don't restore the idle.

I don't know if this is typical for Weber sidedrafts or not, but there's no idle speed screw on mine. The instructions that came with it when I bought it new said that if you can't set the idle with the idle mixture screw, then you need to try a different (richer) idle jet. I'm not sure I agree, and I've ordered a part that will let me put an idle speed screw on the carb. Maybe someone else here knows more about this.

The yellow brick road suggest a leak around #3 intake.... for the cost of a gasket you probably will be back in business... you can't reuse gaskets that have a torque of 25/ft lb.'s and not expect the seal to be breached...
