Running...sort of.

I started my car yesterday for the second time and it runs, but it's rough. I can tell that it most likely is a timing issue but I do not know how to set static timing with a Pertronix distributor. Is this possible or is there another way to get it close without having to run it with a light?

Without a timing light, it's sort of tough.
I can't think of any simple way to time your car other than "by ear" (which I wouldn't really recommend).

I wanted to try and set the static timing before running it to then set it with a light. Statc used to be the best way to time the TR4 but I'm not too sure with using the Pertronix set up. I tried to set the static timing the way I remember to do it, but I cannot get my voltage indicator light to come on. i'll keep playing with it.

Thanks.
