Rubber OverridersTrouble in the rear

Does anyone know how to get the rear rubber bumper/overriders off. I can feel the 9/16 nut inside the frame with my fingers but how do you get a socket on there and turned ?

I can see an elongated slot but in the frame tube but my socket and extension wont go on , I would imagine that the socket would have to be angled or something.

Is there some technique to it ??

I just took mine off a couple of months ago with the help of my friendly mechanic and his lift. You need a Universal joint, extension, and an impact wrench. The other end of this stud has a nut press fitted against the bumper (where you can't get to it). Be carefull, it is easy to spin this nut when using the impact wrench. Keep a pulling tension on the bumper while using short bursts on the impact wrench.
