So BE 1960 AN5L30409 hit the road for the first time in 15 years, 13 1/2 from the PO and 1 and 1/2 for me! My friends Brad and Eric came over to help. Had to tighten up the carb nuts and the smog valve connection to reduce/cure the leaking intake. Transmission has a bit of a whine. After about three minutes on the court, smoke emanated from the bell housing area. Smelled like clutch! No oil on the ground. Brad ran to get the fire extinguisher. Smoke stopped. Must have been the clutch material residue buring off, I hope!
Trying to finish it up for the Woodland, CA show on May 23.
Rear springs seem high. Can someone measure from the ground to the top of the rear wheel arch, I have 155-80 x 13 tires.
Cheers, and we had beers on this one, well don't we always.
