Rubber Gaiters

My TR6 needs new rear axel gaiters and my TR8 will need new front strut gaiters.

Replacement rubber is junk.

Has anyone found or used gaiters from another vehicle? Ted from TSI suggested this as an alternative as he knows just how crappy the rubber replacement parts can be.

Pehaps gaiters from an off road supplier. Suggestions /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

I used the new rubber units supplied by TRF last year on my rear axles. They seemed to be the best fit and of good quality.

My gaiters are also from TRF, are 6 years old, and look like new.

I bought gaiters for my TR8 struts at Napa. They were not on the shelf though, I had to ask for them at the counter.
