Hello all. I'm posting at the urging of Basil. I'm actually a bit of a fraud at the moment, because I own no British cars. I've owned many Rovers and Land Rovers over the years, and I'm waitng for the right car (3-Litre or TC) to come along. Best, Gordon.

Hi Gordon! Welcome aboard. You don't have to own a British car to fit in here, just have an affection for them! Have you owned any other British cars besides Rover (nothing wrong with Rovers, I'm just curious).

Basil

Welcome to the forum!! You certainly don't need to own a British car to be an accepted member........one of our most active members doesn't own one either. Please, post often. It would be interesting to hear about your past Rovers.

Hi Gordon,

Rover's do come up every so often, there were some Rover 2000TC's available in the States (eastern seaboard I think?), it was posted in the Classifieds forum here...

Our resident Rover member will probably be along shortly, "Rovernut" is very knowledgeable and knows lots about which ones are where as well.

Oh yeah and the 2000TC or 3500S are very cool... wouldn't mind one myself /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Gordon,

Welcome ... but pre-1930 Rovers are much more interesting!

Ken G, 1925 Rover 16/50 (San Francisco)

I owned a 1968 Rover 2000TC for about 5 years in the late 70s and early 80's (until the tin worm won the battle) but really enjoyed the car and would love to find another, but without the rust. I saw one at a British car show this summer that was with its original owner and was simply beautiful! But at least one of my vehicles now is a Land Rover which is serving me well.

Hello Gordon and welcome to the forum..............Always glad to see another Rover enthusiast.........whether or not you still have one matters not....... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/canpatriot.GIF /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
