Does anyone have a picture or description of how the Speedo and Tach cables route from their respective starting points to the Gauges?

Can't find that in any of my old pictures.

Many Thanks.
Michael.

Assuming you are asking about the Hundred Fours, tach cable back from engine & up through a slot in the gasket between the firewall & the vertical extension panel.

Speedometer cable, from drive on back of transmission, forward & across top of transmission, up through the same slot as the tach cable.

See attached pic. Both end up behind the dash:

Dave,

Thanks, this helps, looks like I have a BN2 or other extension panel, so I'll have to make the slot for the cables.

Michael.

Originally there was no actual slot, just a slight depression & the weatherstrip was just compressed around the cables. I made somewhat of a slot to relieve the compression on the cables.

I think I will follow that advise, seems like a bad idea to pinch these cables.

Thanks!
