MGB Rostyle wheel masks

I was dreading painting my rostyle wheels and thought "someone has to have come up with a mask to make this easy". So I just looked on Ebay and sure enough someone did! Found both a plastic mask and adhesive backed tape on mask. I guess great minds think alike (at least those of us who are trying to avoid hard work!).

If you use those, be careful as it's easy for the paint to "creep" in behind them.

Be sure you have a matched set of wheels. Around 1977 the offset was changed on the Rostyle and wire wheels. The full masks I used to get would not work on the later wheels! Might be best to get the tape on mask if you are not sure which wheels you have. I have seen mix and match wheels on cars and the owners never knew. Bob

I wasn't that impressed with the mask way of painting.
But, a neat trick to keep in mind is using playing cards to keep from taping the tires.
Just stick them around the rim and go for it.
If the little tips from new tires is a problem cut them with a razor blade.
