That rack is only for loafers.
 
I think someone didn't hear the order for a roof-rack correctly, and got a hoof-rack instead.
 
I see you can certainly Converse in the subject of footwear.
 
... but it's always entertaining to see ingenuity on a shoe-string budget.

Friend of mine who drove and raced successfully an Alfa Giulietta in the late 1950s invented a ski rack for convertibles called the Ski Port ski rack. When he was drafted and spent a year in the Army, for a time, I assembled the racks in his mother's basement. As I recall, I was paid 75 cents a rack. I was between jobs.
