OK all you buckskinners out there! Or at least the one or two that are out there.
It's time for the local clubs annual Rondezvous, or Pre 1840 living history campout/ shoot, for those who are completely confused right now.
I head out tommorow afternoon and will be back sunday.
No cars, no electricity, no phones, lots of bluegrass music, friends and libations.
YEEEEE HAWWWWWW! and a hardy DOO DAH!
Here's a link to the club's website for a better explination and some pics. I'll try to get some pics this weekend and post them soon.

This sounds like a lot of fun.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

Whew! ~wrings out shoes~
Well I got a few pics, but I haven't had time to get them on the net yet.
We had a great time despite everything. Between thursday and friday the camp saw almost 3 inches of rain. So by the time I got there everything was pretty soggy. But saturday was nice. sunny, hot, light breeze. things were starting to firm up a little. we had a steak dinner over the fire, and celebrated a birthday of one of the folks camped with us. then we had broke out the instruments, and were gearing up for the evening entertainment when the thunder started rumbling and the sky turned black.
We had just enough time to "batten down the hatches" before we spent a half an hour bracing the dining fly poles agenst 60+ mph wind gusts, pouring sideways rain, and lightning like I've never seen.
We all survived, soaking wet, with minimal loss of tents and equipment, and even rallied the music for a great night, despite the ankle deep water everywhere.
It was a "memorable" rondezvous.
DOOO DAAHHH!!!
