I own a 1928 rolls royce twenty that in 1971 was re-coached to a boat-tail speedster. It came to the U.S.A. in 1976 and I bought it 9/07. After it was dismanteled and re-built in 1970, it was sold by Sothebys at an Auction on May 20, 1971 (lot 10). I am trying to find out who did the work and get some more history on the vehicle. Is it possible that someone at Sotheby's might have some information? I'd also think that the Rolls-Royce Owners Club might be able to help; their web site even has Forums (not to take away from this most excellent forum, but....).
