All that dangerous work for a couple of bucks.
Great pics!

I love rodeos and have seen quite a few, but saying that, I think bull riders have a death wish! Don't know any that haven't been busted up a few times. All for the glory of it! PJ

Funny you should mention bull riders. Last night, after the rodeo, the wife and I decided to watch "The Longest Ride" Excellent movie!

Nice pics! (I bet this isn't your first rodeo <snicker>)

Those people have to be totally NUTS!!!!! It hurts just to look at that.

Nice pictures! The stock are athletes and treated as such! Here is a video of our Veterinary Practice's most famous client. I have personally been on the bottom side of this bull!

Yup, that's what I meant when I said, Bull riders have a death wish! When he was younger, my brother-in-law was one of those guys, but after a few broken bones, something instilled a little common sense to his brain and he quit. PJ

Nothing like having your body parts re-arranged a few time to sharpen the clarity of ones thinking.

I always wanted to rope competitively. I never really had the desire to ride bulls, however, I'd rather be on a bull than a bronc.

That was fun to watch! That final guy went the 8 seconds - just.

He is an amazing athlete, and I have had no problems working on him (I give him plenty of respect). His 1/2 brother could clear 6 foot fences without touching them. Bushwacker is now in retirement, he travels around the country making appearances and making little Bushwacker's. It is our job to keep him and the rest of the herd healthy.

I used to watch on TV the bull-riding. I remember a bull named Crankshaft (!) that nobody could ride. I forget the name of the announcer - some guy with a high-pitched voice and a Texas accent. I won't ride anything that's bigger than I am.

Just for fun, here are a few more image from that day.

Guy said his name was Mongo. The wife just thought it was bull.

Mongo - Some guy named Mongo came riding up on this Bull!

SWMBO seems to run into her girl friends everywhere we go! Here, a Yoga buddy was manning the Info booth.
