Just got back, rode on a church float. It was alot of fun. Talked to the pastor and he said it only cost $40 to get a float in. I told Kelly I want to possibly do it next year in the Midget. If it's only $40 for an "organization", maybe get some other LBC's to come down for the fun. If we can all get our cars in for just $40 total that would be a super deal. Even if it's $40 a car, it's still a good deal.

I'll have to see. It'd be REALLY cool to have a few LBC's in the parade. I think Maggie would look cool with some lights on her. I've got a 3000 watt inverter here that I could use on her. I love small towns. Can't do this in New Orleans !!!!

Anybody up for next year?

We ride our ~Olds Curved Dash Replica~ in the Morristown St. Pat's Day parade every year.
It's really not a very accurate replica, but with all the beer and celabration going on, most people aren't that discerning. :jester:

Morristown isn't that big (population about 20,000), but their St. Pat's Day parade has a long tradition and is one of the biggest parades in NJ.

And I'm probably one of the few people in the parade who is actually *from* Ireland! It's great fun!

We ran the Olds in a New Years event one time, but is was sort of cold. No heater.

We did use it on a ~Holiday Card~ one time.

Geez, Nial. You must freeze your cajones off in that thing

Yeah, for New Years, it's deadly cold, but by mid-March (St. Pat's Day), NJ is pretty mild.....as you can see ~Here~ .

Some folks run their classic cars in this parade and I guess I could bring my '69 MGB.....
but I don't know about an <span style="font-style: italic">English</span> car in an <span style="font-style: italic">Irish</span> parade....
