Rocker Cover Data Plate

For a 65 BJ8, I am looking for the aluminum & black lettered rocker cover ID plate (not the decal) stating "... .012 COLD." I've contacted the usual suspects and then some, without success. Any suggestions welcomed.

Reid,

The plate is listed on AH Spares website and in their catalog, but they do not have it and they can't get any more plates because their supplier is out of business. I've called the "usual suspects" in the UK. Reckon I'm looking for something really unusual.

Without checking their website, have you tried British Car Specialists in Stockton, California? Great folks, REAL Healey people, and they have a small catalog of rare parts, and this is the kind of thing that might well be in it.

Have you tried these guys

failing that the rocker covers come up on flea bay regularly, I think I may even have a spare floating around in my shop .I may even have the plate as well as I replaced them on one of my BJ8s .
will look tomorrow.

Also try Tom's Import Toys; real Healey people as well (Tom has owned over 70 Healeys): https://tomsimport.com/

Momentary off-topic diversion: I thought Tom claimed that he has had well over 400 Healeys pass through his hands, and claims he has sold more Healeys than anyone else, anywhere, anytime, anyway. Not sure how many of them were really personally owned, and not just merchandise to flip :greedy_dollars:

I confirmed the guy with the barn find and '300 Healeys' mentioned in the latest Moss blurb was Tom. His wife Skip, who works in the biz and is a delightful lady, said that was 'a tad exaggerated.'

True and that was my open trailer in the barn in the Moss article.....

I've contacted all the businesses suggested in this thread, except Clarkespares. They will be contacted next. This plate is a very elusive item. BSC has a few used ones, but I'm refreshing my engine bay after 30+ years and would prefer new (if possible).

I didn’t have any luck in my spares pile . Must have either sold them or junked them .
