Hi All, I'm attempting totake apart my rocker arm, and am having a hard time removing the pedestals. Anyone have experience and an easy way to free them. Thanks, Mike

I just did the same with my TR6, what a pain. I managed with just penetrating oil and a couple of vice grips leveraged against the work bench. However, the more appropriate way would likely be to use a propane torch to heat the pedestal so that it expands then quicly slide it off the shaft before it cools. Sounds easy but I have never done this.

I've always just used the bolts for levergae. Slide them into the bolt holes in the pedastals, and you should be able to just work them back and forth a few times and have the pedstals come right off.

Use a solvent and don’t expect any fast results. I suspect there is a carbon build up/bond between the studs and stand-offs. Heat may help as was mentioned earlier. I am too respectful to hit the pedestals with a hammer.... until I am willing to replace everything.

i have used the propane torch on mine and works great.
ps-wear welding gloves and use a vise with aluminum over the jaws.pull and twist.
