Robin Williams is Dead

Goodby Mork, Robin Williams has died.

Robin Williams died this morning of an apparent suicide. He was 63.

Very, very sad. A brilliant comedian.

One of the very few celebrities I really like. I have always held Robin Williams in very high regard. It's been a long time since the news of a Hollywood death has saddened me, but this one did it. I really enjoyed his recent TV show "the Crazy Ones" with Brad Garrett. I was ticked when they dropped it for that garbage show "Bad Teacher". But can you imagine the routine He's doing with Jonathan Winters right now?!
I can't say I'm shocked at the news. It's a strange realm where Brilliance, insanity, and depression all abide. I've seen that first hand, and it often ends badly.

Very sad indeed. "The actor's rep Mara Buxbaum added in a statement to ABC News. "He has been battling severe depression of late."

Very sad, I hope he is at peace now.

Na-nu, na-nu.

Aw shazbot! :sorrow:

I read a couple months ago too that he was experiencing serious money issues as well. Seems the two divorces were costing serious money at a time his cash flow was low. Depression and money problems, perfect storm for folks who can't see brighter days will come.

R.I.P. Robin Williams. So sorry Depression won.

I lost a family member to this insidious state of mind just last month. Help is out there.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around this. I would be upset if he just passed away, but I'd be OK with it. I would even be just a bit more upset if it were an overdose or something like that, but to die by his own hands? I simply cannot fathom the thought process that goes into that. I know he wasn't thinking clearly and depression and substance abuse changes everything, but....... I don't know, I'm just sooo frustrated that someone with THAT kind of talent would do such a thing. I would all but kill for the rapid fire thought process he possessed. The stuff that came out of his mouth, I was in awe of. Rest in peace Robin Williams. Your journey here is done and your demons are now silent.

Thanks for that Mickey! That was super funny! :highly_amused:. Sad, but funny. So much talent gone forever. :angel2: PJ

A very sad loss. This one hit home, I have long been an admirer of the man's comedy. There is information that he had recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's......

Condolences to his family and friends.
