A neat story about the discovery of a very interesting old Land Rover, is Robert Bateman well known outside of Canada?

And if I work it right I just might get the chance to see it in person, maybe... at the Vancouver area car show where the fresh restoration is scheduled to debut in May... Read: possible road trip... :excitement:

Never heard of him, but that is a fantastic story. I love that it was identified and is being restored now.

I wish they had a pic of how it looked when they found it. Great story!

I'm sure the photo exists, or maybe not, perhaps for display with the truck at future shows... I'm curious who officially owns it, it was discovered by a dealer and passed on to a restorer, suppose it is likely legally owned by the dealer, I wonder what will happen to it next... This truck is very historic for Canadians...

Quite a story and great that the Land Rover was found intact and restored. What a journey those two must have had. Be an adventure most of us would cherish. And, their still with us. :encouragement: PJ

I like the additional photos in the new link. It's nice being able to see what it looked like in its neglected un-restored state.
