Latest report! We made it to Sebring with a visit at Bob Tullius colection of airplanes and cars and then close to Ft Myers. We spent today with the mgb parked in a friends garage and did sightseeing in a normal car. We are over 900 miles so far and heading further south tomorrow morning. The Collier auto museum is at 10am in Naples. From there Kevin wants to go thru the Everglades.I will try to get some pics up tomorrow when we stop if possable. We are having a large time! Bob/Kevin...(Riding in style in Lyndas car)

Tullius has a great collection. We visited it in 2001 during the V8 meet in Sebring.

I sat at the bar at the Chateau Elan and discussed warbirds with Tullius one evening.

Today we spent almost 4 hours in the Collier collection. WOW. From there I-75 thru part of the Everglades and then up to the top of lake Okeechobee. Thats where we are now and calling it a day. Mileage count is 1100+. It was top up by 9am and semi wet all day. Tomorrow should be sunny and top down. I may get pics when the room is ready and we finally get in. Bob/Kevin

Here are a few pics. Bob

Down and BACK!! Without bein' gobbled by a gator!!!

Well done.

Kevin's kinda obscured in that photo, BTW.

Bob's version of The Stig.

Well yesterday was along one. We left Lake Okeechobee and headed north on back roads hitting a few flea markets and a reptile collection. Nasty snakes and turtles. We took all day getting to the top of Florida. At 6 pm the call was made to head back to NC. 8PM we made the top of Jacksonville Florida. We arrived back at the homeplace at 1:30 am. Total miles were 1870 and oil was 1/2 quart. Interstate speeds ranged from 77-82 all the way keeping up with traffic. I will get more pics later today or tomorrow. All I have to do with the 63 is adjust the points now. The idle has fallen off a bit. I probably should have checked them before we left! Bob/Kevin

This should dispel any concerns over making long road trips in an old MGB!!!

Yes Doc, and in the fall, Bob was here with his "B GT".
Had his dog, which is big as the car (well sorta).
Good to see these cars used as they should be.

Dave :driving:

P.S. I'm internationally jealous of the trip and your weather.

A couple more pics from the Fla ride. We are heading to St Augustine next week and will attend Amelia Island on Saturday. May be a bit of wet stuff friday and the temps are supposted to be 65-70. Probably a BGT run. Watch for us on the road! Bob
