I didn't really know anything about Ernie Hemmings, but ~THIS~ is a nice story about him and his life.

Ironic he retired in 1988 and then later died at the age of 88. I don't know how many years I subscribed to his paper. Of course now, it's all on the net.

When I was on a remote tour as a young officer, I was grateful for my Hemmings Motor News which helped me pass the time.

Great story. If they name a street after him posthumously will it be......um.....Ernest Hemmings Way?
