I was wondering what upgraded exhausts are out there in the community!

I seem to like the Rimmer kit the best - quality seems to look great (from the pics) and I like the idea of the big bore for preparing for the future.

Does anyone have this kit or any others? I'd love to hear comments/suggestions from those who might have some experience with these kits!

Cheers!

Looks good. Gets rid of the front muffler, has the duel exhaust. Header looks great though I have read it's hard to improve much on the stock manifold. I have single muffler falcon system which is ok. Well made but still took a little bending to fit right. Doesn't look as good as duel exhaust but a little less to rattle.

Hi Richie,
When i restored my 4A 3 years ago, I purchased the Rimmer Bros stainless true dual exhaust and have been very happy with the quality and results. It has a great roarty sound upon acceleration but quiets down at speed. For what its worth, i think it has reduced the back pressure allowing the engine to breath easier and it seems a a bit punchier at the low end.

Good luck.

That does look very well made.
I had a mild steel tubular header and found it radiated a lot of heat very close to the generator, so went back to a standard 4a cast iron piece. Header tape would probably have solved the problem but looks unsightly.
I think this system is only slightly larger bore than stock which is ideal as many systems are too big and slow down the flow.
