I've wanted to go KC to Lake of the Ozarks for over a month, but the heat has been to much til this weekend. My 22 yr old college age son also wanted to go the shoot out at the lake this weekend. Highs in the mid 80's took us there in the BE. It was great. I've been concerned about a temp issues with the BE and it never was over 200 for more than a couple mins. The shoot out is an affair where boats run a standing start kilometer and are timed at the end(winner in the open class, over 200mph). It is quite an affair that is really cool. A lot of top end boats. I went to the motel where the meet is going to be next yr and its parking lot is really nice. A world of shade. It really will work(you did good Jack). There is a park that is close where you can put boats in that should really work well for pictures. From my door back to my door, 386 miles @ 26 miles/gal. Speeds of 75, 70, an 60-65. The hills and the curves, a blast. My older son and I had a great trip.
