Our Daughter just moved there, but found out that
the other person in her rental is psycho!
My Wife sent her a package, which had some items
like rare photographry books signed by the authors,
that ended up ruined, outside,in the rain.He obviously
opened the package, and destoyed/damaged the contents.
Is there a safe, affordable place that someone
would be willing to rent?

- Doug

Doug, sorry about your daughter's problems. Richmond's a big and diverse place, I'm sure she'll find a good place.

The first place I'd look would be in The Richmond Times-Dispatch apartment ads. It's a good start, anyway.

Sorry I can't recommend a specific place.

To be "safe" stay away from the downtown area (one of the nation's worst murder rates there), preferably outside the City "beltway" (e.g., city limits), maybe out in the West End suburbs.

Or, possibly contact a reputable property management firm. I'd recommend Sterling Management, good folks.

Good luck, let us know.

Thanks Mark!

He also gave/sent her an eviction notice, with a Notary stamp
on it.My Dauaghter looked up the number - and it doesn't exist. She figures
that he got it off of eBay,or something like that.He also doesn't have a
driver's license,so he may have a past to hide from.

If she has to stay there while finding another place, make sure the bedroom and bathroom doors have locks and they're used.
