Today's the day.... For quite some time I've been wanting to bypass my "touchy" rheostat. I've been dreading the job but it's done now.
I removed the ashtray in the center of the dash as well as the speaker panel on the right side. With a little finesse I was able to remove all three wires that attach to the rheostat and connect them together. I made a 3-wire pigtail with male spade connector and plugged each into the female ends of the wiring harness. Original rheostat will be installed so dash retains its originality.
