RHD parts ?

This may sound silly, but as I complete the 67 I built for my father,I find the glovebox insert looks a little ragged. The problem being RHD,it is a reverse or mirror image of the LHD one which seems to be readily available.Any ideas ? Can I order from overseas or special order one perhaps from Moss ?

I'd lok into ordering it from overseas, but if it is just the insert, can you not just make one?

Also, on a similar note.....If anyone has any Mk. 1 MGB RHD conversion parts, please let me know. I'd like to convert my 64 to RHD. I'll need everything. The steering rack, dash, pedal box, steering shroud, turn signal switch, etc.

I knew you would break down eventually James! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

As for RHD parts, you can order from Moss UK. Or call Moss Motors here in the US and special order the parts but it may take longer. Also try MG Owner's Club.

The box is cardboard,I could make one, just thought if I could get one reasonably and correct,I will order one.I will call MOSS and inquire as to whether they can order me one.BTW,this car is a blast to drive, even when you crowd the center line, you are still in your lane. And you should see the looks when I take my 4 year old for rides ! I sure hope my dad is out of town for a couple more weeks, this is fun !

You do, however, need the accelerator pedal - & the steering column cowl & turn signal switch are different (though you could just turn your left one upside down)

You can use the old pedal with alittle tweaking. I have coverted quite a few...19 to be exact...including rubber bumper cars.

Went and drove it around today, yes,I beleive I may have to build one for myself. But as my dad travels out of country for consulting,I get at least 2 weeks to enjoy the car every month,no rush yet ! You wont beleive the looks I get in this car, classic double takes at stoplights with my 4yr old,I am having a ball !
