I figured I'd start here.
Anybody ever seen anything like an open-back slipper with the covered portion foam and solid, you can drop into the door sleeve to support your right knee on longer trips with a RHD MK2?

They had to have had something in the UK.
Thanks

While :iagree:

Nope and if the Brits had a solution like you suggest they probably would not admit it.--Keoke--

It's downright uncomfortable on long trips.
Can't believe someone didn't come up with something years ago.

Yhey did. Switch it to LH Drive then you get the wider more comfortable seat.---Keoke---

Same seats, aren't they?
Just the console overhang is swapped side-for-side?

Yeah , but there is just a wee bit more room. Howrver,In the Flag ship, Daimler V8, the seat is also wider.--Keoke

Never thought about this. I am going to sit in my car to see if I can understand your need! Left leg and particularly the ankle can become tired on a very long journey (several hours) due to the clutch pedal, but not noticed any right leg issue. I'll come back after my check!

Yes he has a legitimate issue with the right knee resting up against the door panel. However, it may depend on the drivers height I am 6'.4 and know of what he speaks.-- Maybe moving the drivers seat back a bit more might aleviate the problem for tall drivers??---Keoke

I have moved seat, wheel, dropped the column with shims.
Hurts when you've had an issue with said knee, and letting it roll out to rest against the door is painful.
Yet, holding it straight can be just as bad.

If I move the seat fully back, first and especially reverse can be a real pain, especially with the installed shoulder harness/seat belt that has no inertia component (OLD style).
I'm about one notch from full back on the seat track.

On LHD, generally I can get my shin against the console, and no problem.
If I raise the seat, then I have head-to-doorframe issues more sever than now.

I'm about 6'.

I've talked to my upholsterer, they think it's no problem.
I wanted something to drop into the door pocket so it could be adjusted and removed easily, especially for shows.
