Revolution 5 spoke wheels

I am helping a friend with a TR6 that is fitted with a set of Revolution 5 spoke wheels. The ftony wheels rub on the upper ball joint while turning. Compared to the spare steel wheel that is in the trunk the hub offset difference is about .75". There are currently .25" spacers on the front which appear to be the max combination we can go and still have good lug nut-thread engagement.

Are the studs commmon with anything I could get at the local NAPA or Pepeboys -- Just longer?

How hard are they to remove?

Does the front rotor-hub need to be taken apart to install longer ones?

What about the rear axle?

How much is a set of used Revolution rims and tires worth?

Does anybody have a set of center caps for sale?

Contact me first if you decide to sell. My favorite wheels on the 4A.

I use 10mm spacers with the revolution 6x15 wheels.
I have longer sleeve nuts which dive into the spacers and center them too....

You'll need about 15mm thread depth to have a save engagement of the bolt and the nut....

Any comments on how safe the wheel spacers are?

I have found 2 types.. The first is just a spacer and the other is bolted to the hub and has new studs in between the originals.

Are the wheel offsets different for TR3, TR4, TR4A and TR6 different?

- I have 4 spoke revolution wheels on my spitfire. I was missing one center cap and ordered a full set from here...

...you can find their phone number at the bottom of the home page.

- do you need a full set of caps ? I have 3 "tall" caps which I'm not using...if you need a couple to complete a set let me know. I don't have them close by but I think they were about 53 or 63mm diameter....will check later.

As long as you still have good thread purchase on the lug nuts there shouldn't be a problem. The second type of spacer can also be an adapter. Allowing different bolt patterns and a greater choice of wheels. If you use the second type, remember to add the thickness of the spacer to determine your new offset.

I'm not aware of there being a great deal of difference in offsets between TR3's-6's. AFAIK they are all in the Zero to +6 range. The biggest difference was the increasing widths of the wheels, but I think they grew to each side of the center-line fairly evenly.
