rev counter

Hello Healey jockeys

Now this:

My rev counter strikes, all of a sudden though.

Any suggestions?

Today I went to my garage for an annual safety check (required by law) and a mile or two before reaching the garage my trustful English workhorse got the "cough" and so badly I came to a standstil. After a while I started the machine again and yes we could proceed.

At the garage after an hour of searching the evil was detected:

a clogged up FUEL FILTER.
So for all of you when the machine gets a "bad cough" check this first. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

At your service

Greets

Yep Wim, first time it happens seems to be a mystery. Car will Idle like a champ but "Cough" and die soon as you try to accelerate and move out.--Cheers- Keoke
