restricted connections in fuel evap. loss system?

1500 MG midget, weber 32/36 dgv cab.

From the previoius owner currently my carbon canister is not connected. I want to be able to get it connected back up though.

In looking in the Haynes repair manual for the fuel evaporative loss control system, I notice that there is a "restrictor" between the carbon canister and the fuel tank (item 7). I assume the restrictor is some kind of in-line orifice fitting to restrict the flow to create a rescrition for the vacuum from the carb to limit the flow of air/gas coming from the carb. Since my car does not have this resctrictor, can anyone tell me what size of restrictor (diameter of the orifice/restriction) this is?

Also note in the manual that on the center connection to the carbon canister it shows a "resctricted connection" (item 6). Another one is after the tee going to the carb manifold. Which my car doesn't have these either. Can anyone tell me what size of restriction (diameter of orifice) these two are?

Also if anyone can provide any other details about these parts that will be helpfull, incase I am missing something about them.

I have looked on Moss's website and they do not show these parts. I plan to see if I can make my own parts to put in. Or does anyone know where I can buy these?

I'll be working on my car tomorrow - let me see what I can come up with - If I have it - you can have it as it will not be on my car again.

found one - just going to see if I can find another

OK - I only have one - the one from the centre of the canister. I'm pretty sure I don't have the other BUT - if you could clearly explain where it should be (or where it goes) and I can look again. I can't quite figure it out from the diagram.

let me know

It pushes onto the brass vent tube on the front side of the carburetor. The rubber vent hose than pushes over the restrictor. The restrictor should be white plastic.

OK - carb is in the shop right now - hope to have it back in a day or two - I'll check then. they seem to be the same part though - right?

One of the components I was talking about is shown in the VictoriaBritish website in the 1500 midget emission control components section from the link below (item 4).

The other component is shown in the link below in the 1500 midget emission control componets section, item 2

There also might be one in the tube that goes from the fuel tank line breather to the carbon canister also...

assuming I am looking at the right thing, they both seem to be part # 7-171 - we're having an Xmas party tonight and as I mentioned the carb is away but I'll do what I can tomorrow.

You appear to be correct, I didn't look at the p/n before and didn't realize they are the same part. If you so happen to not find the other part, that is not a problem. If you are at least able to send me the one I can most likely make the other one myself with the one you can send me to copy.
