TR2/3/3A Restoration of 1954 TR-2 Long Door

I am in the final stages in the restoration of my TR-2. Total front end has been installed now that the rebuilt engine seems O.K.

Problem: I have a overdrive transmission with low mileage on it. I flushed it, replaced the fluid, solenoid and wiring harness. Haven't driven the car yet so, am hopeful the transmission is O.K. My problem it is leaking fluid. Both plugs are tight, but am still getting oil on the floor. Can't find any areas where its leaking from? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oil leaks are a challenge well because they are difficult to tell the source. Sometime fogging a mist of baby powder over the area will reveal the source because the powder darkens at the source. If that does not help, you might have to drive it around some to get a better picture.

Freshen up the overdrive unit or come to grief. Do NOT hope for it to be OK, make it OKor
you will be pulling it back out very soon.
