Resizing rods...

Why can't I find a spec for the big ends of the rods? Checked the Bentley manual and the factory shop manual, and nada. There is a spec for the little end bushings and pretty much everything else.

Am I missing something? Shouldn't I need to tell the machinist what spec to resize them to?

I would think that he would inspect the crank for wear, use a micrometer to check the crank, decide if it needed any cutting, fit new bearings to that and then size the rods accordingly.

But I agree, the stock diameter should be in your manual.

Thanks.

It's the same rod used in a TR6/GT6 if that matters (Stanpart #146454).
Curious if the TR6 manual lists a spec for the rod big-end?
