I'm running the MK IV in group 1--populated heavily by Spridgets.

In this morning's Race 1 I finished 8th behind the MG's of Rick Haynes, Charles Guest and Peter Uzdavinis, a Spitfire and three Canadian Mini's, and was followed closely by the MGA of Chris Meyer and a number of Spridgets including Larry Smith and Derek Chima.

Our feature race is tomorrow morning--more news as it occurs.

Those are probably the same Canadian Minis that came to the VRG Glen event last year. Quick cars!

I've had some excellent races with Larry and Chris M. Have fun!

Two of the Mini drivers--Andy Nelson and Richard Paterson--are fellows that I know from Targa Newfoundland rallies I did a few years back with Michael Salter, plus I have raced with them a few times at Mosport. They are great competitors.

My best time thus far is 2.30+ whereas the Minis are about 4 seconds faster per lap. The quickest Spridgets are at 2.23+.

How did it go in the rain, Michael? I really felt sorry for the open car drivers Sunday (not that Sat was that great)
Missed seeing you at the in-town show and original course run Friday.

I was gridded 8th for the Sunday 8:45 AM feature. Though the forecast was for things to be dry but such was not the case and we went out onto a cold track in a light drizzle.

I am embarrassed to say that I spun the car on the pace lap coming out of the boot, fortunately with no contact. I waited until everyone cleared by me and consequently started at the back of the pack and finished 13th.

Michael -

Nice picture of you in the September Victory Lane pg # 34. At least they got your name right, they missed mine on page # 31.

I have not yet gotten my VL but look forward to seeing it.

Micheal,

Off topic - Why do you have to post so many
HUGE pictures in every post?

- Doug

Doug--

I have two pictures because I can't get all four cars in one.

No one else has objected to their size but I would be happy to make them smaller if you will assist me in doing so--perhaps you can send me a PM and tell me how to reduce their size.

I like that low angle shot Rick posted. Makes Michael look formidable.

As for sigfile pix, Doug, there's a "feature" in your preferences to turn off other user's signature file view. Or you could change to a higher screen resolution.

For me, there's naught wrong with Michael's pix.
