Yes, an old topic, but for me never resolved. The studs in my hubs are peened and immovable. I once had a local shop “give up” trying to remove rear hubs from the axle. They said damage would be the result of further effort.
Is there a known procedure or fix to remove these old/original studs? I’m reluctant to grind anything down on those peened studs.
I’m asking because my current studs appear as if they were shortened to accommodate wire wheels and to avoid interference, and I’m wanting to switch to solid wheels, Panasports, or whatever (I realize an option would be solid wheels with spindles/knockoffs).
Thx
