I've decided to upgrade the transmission in the TF with a 5 speed. Probably order it from High Gear tomorrow. I want the improved 1st gear option also. High Gear says it usually takes from 4 to 6 weeks before shipment, we'll see. Customs duties and taxes will have to be addressed, but that's natural and possibly a hold up in shipping? Once I have it in hand, this will be up for sale, I don't need two transmissions. PJ

Paul - that looks like a factory-fresh transmission. What convinced you to change your F to a "modified F"?
 
A higher first gear and a 5 speed Tom. Smoother shifting without the slight pause will be nice also.
 
Good luck with conversion. I'm a big fan of adding a 5-speed to our little cars -- have one in my Morris and it makes a big difference in usability.
