Replacing Timing Chain

Hello all,
I think my timing chain (1275) is telling me that it is tired and would like to be replaced. My Haynes says that this can be done with the engine in the car. Does anyone have experience with this? My concern is that the crank pulley looks pretty close to the front crossmember. Thanks everybody!

JACK

My Haynes is correct, it can be done in the car. You will have to undo the front motor mounts, and jack the front of the engine up a bit.
