Hap I agree with everyhing you said I see the major companys I've worked for try to take shortcuts all the time with engine rebuilds etc. I don't mind doing it their way cause I get paid by the hr. but in my own shop I can't agree with you more when I'am ready to rebuild my engine for my LBC I hope your still doing it for a living I know it would be worth the ride to NC keep the shiney side up Mark

All jokes aside I think people have to learn lessons the hard way for it to sink in, it takes a very rare breed to learn from other's mistakes. Like I said it not what you spend, it's how smart you spend and doing your homework to make sure you can cut that corner. I tell people this about racing everyday and it applies as well to the street LBC hobby, if getting on the road/track is more important to you than proper mechanics and prep, then your time in this hobby will be short lived. I can fully understand someone wanting to cut a corner and rush to not lose interest, more than 90% of all projects are abondoned, every wonder where some of the people here get to, but working on your car and doing it right can be just as good of therapy as driving it, it's all part of the game, ask yourself, have you got game? It's not about a show winning car or the most expensive engine, this hobby is about learning to do things right and learning things about your car and yourself that you can take through life with you. Look at people like Jack from this forum, he's not just restored a Bugeye, he rstored his mind and soul along with that car and is better off for it, I applaud his effort, in my book, that man has game and finishing this project tells me alot about who Jack is. Do what you got to do to enjoy this hobby, just try to learn along the way, knowledge is priceless.

Thaks for the kind words Doctor but the darn thing is not done yet. Hehe. She needs an interior and also needs to purr like a kitten. She starts but still fighting carbs I think, we will see when I get a dash in.

cold and raining out there today, no way I fight that. Miss Agatha is just going to have to wait a bit.

However, next job is bleeding things and I have a nice intertube and the fluid all ready to go.
