A few years ago both VicBrit and Moss carried repair panels for areas that sprites commonly rusted, some are still available, but I can't find a source for the front edge of the hood. Does anyone know if for this panel is even still available? and if so where?
 
I think that panel was always difficult to fit, and demand for it was low. You might watch ebay for a good replacement. Also, there are fiberglass versions that are reinforced to work with stock hinges.
