Off Topic Rental trailer insurance

I want to take my TR3 to Triumphest next month and need to trailer it because of an injury, just can't drive the car that far. I found a nice enclosed trailer to rent for less than U-haul charges for an open trailer. The rental company offers no insurance for the trailer. None of the other local trailer rental places offers insurance either. My insurance will only cover liability on the trailer, and will not sell a rider for additional coverage. Anybody know of a company that will sell a temporary insurance. I do have a U-Haul reservation if I can't come up with anything.

I have a few friends that have offered the use of their trailers but I've refused to borrow them because all insurance policies state that the trailer can't be loaned out.

Any ideas

I don't know about trailer insurance.
But I did rent a uhaul ramp trailer a couple of weeks ago.

but I couldn't use it because the ramps were spaced to far apart for my 3.
i had to have a flatbed.

Thanks Guy for the information on the trailer not fitting the car. I think they have two sizes I'll have to make sure they will work or not. I gave them all the dimensions of the car and they are supposed to confirm if it will fit. I think I'll go and look at them and take my own measurements.

I have moved my 3 twice within the past 18 months using a u-haul trailer. It's interesting getting the car on the trailer because you have just slightly over half of each tire on the ramps. But, once on the trailer, the tires just fit inside the raised portion of the trailer and can be secured using the tire straps that are part of the trailer. Can be done but must be careful.

I have had same experience with trailoring a 3 on U haul trailor. You need two people, one to spot and other to drive unless you winch it on.

I'm only running 165 tires on the car, not very wide. Oh well may not go to the show.

Thanks guys
