Removing door panel

I am going to be replacing or fixing some parts for the window and was about to take off the door panel when I saw that there were no screws for the door handle it self. Does this stay in place as I remove all the other screws, wind up knob and small handle or am I missing something? It is a 1970 MGB. This sounds like a dumb question on my end but this is my first time starting to dismantle and replace aging parts and I want to do it correctly. Of course the easiest job I start with, removing door panel, I run in to a stumbling block. Oh well learn by mistakes they say.
Thanks, Al

Good topic! I'm planning to do the door panels in my '76 this summer, because the particle board in my panels are completely shot from dry rot + water damage.

When you say door handle, do you mean the lever that opens the door, or do you mean the pull?

The lever that opens the door. There are no screws that I can see to remove.

If its like the 75 door its just the upper and lower trim pieces around the door that you will remove and the handle will stay attached to the door.

The 76 door should be the same as the 75 so its remove the top rail then the window crank, the interior handle and the trim around the door release. Then you just have to pop the clips that hold the handle to the door. Buy new ones from moss and make sure to have a few extra on hand incase you break one on the reinstall.

Is this the same as the 75? As you can see this looks locked in place but no visible screws on the outside to remove.

1. The trim ring should sperate at the 2 ticks and you remove only the ring.
2. There should be 1 screw at each of the 2's They may be at an upwards angle and hard to see.
3. Stays with the door

Thanks for the help. I will let you know how I made out.
