removing clutch master cyl. impossible?

1979 midget 1500 needs new Master clutch cylinder. I cannot remove the bottom bolt on the old MC. No room to put a wrench on the bolt or turn! What am I missing?
 
Use a 6" long 3/8" extension on your socket and come in from the firewall-
Not hard

I found (yesterday) the perfect tool is a 1/4 drive ratchet and 6 inch extension fitted with a 1/2 inch flex socket. I tried many other tools, this one was 'perfect'.

You can't (if your 79 is like my 78 anyway) remove the bolts from inside the box, they are welded in. You have to remove the nuts off the backside of the cylinder.
 
I took you advise and just purchased a 1/4" flex socket extension. However, I can't seem to get the 1/2" socket over the nut...the fluid resevoir is in the way!
 
I found the 1/4 inch drive socket had a thin enough wall also. Otherwise, could you take a large flat head screwdriver to wedge and hold the nut in place enough to just get it loose at which point you might be able to wiggle the socket on.
